Career Coach Reviews - David’s Story

“If you’re questioning your path or feeling unsure why you’re doing what you’re doing, I can’t recommend working with Alex enough.”

David’s Story

Why did you decide to find a career coach? - What were you feeling about your work/job/career, and about yourself, that you wanted to change?

I worked with Alex at a point when I felt stuck in my career. I wasn’t sure about my direction or what was really driving me, and I didn’t have a clear sense of what I wanted next. It felt like I had lost touch with the things that used to excite me. Looking back, the time I spent with him was one of the most valuable investments I’ve made in myself.

How easy/hard did you find the career coaching course, what was your favourite part and what did you learn about yourself?

I went into this thinking it would be about who I am at work, but it was actually about who I am as a person and how that connects to the way I show up in the workplace. Every session had multiple “aha” moments for me. Throughout my sessions with Alex, I discovered so many things about myself, but the real value was his ability to help bring it all together. It’s not just about uncovering your values, strengths, and blind spots in isolation; it’s about combining them to get the clearest understanding of yourself. That part was honestly transformative.

How has working with a career coach changed your levels of clarity and confidence about your career?

The biggest shift was becoming crystal clear on who I am, how I show up, and how I can harness that to make a positive impact, both in my role and in the people I lead. That clarity has given me a new confidence in the direction I’m heading and the value I bring.

How has working with a career coach changed your self-confidence and self-esteem?

It gave me the chance to reconnect with parts of myself I’d pushed aside or forgotten. I came out of it feeling more grounded, more assured in my own strengths, and more comfortable with the areas I still need to grow.

What would you say to anyone who is considering working with Alex as their career coach but not sure if they should do it?

If you’re questioning your path or feeling unsure why you’re doing what you’re doing, I can’t recommend working with Alex enough. And honestly, don’t wait until you hit a wall like I did. If you’re smarter than I am, you’ll see him earlier and give yourself the chance to stay clear and purposeful in your career.
